Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups orange juice (360 mL)
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (65 g)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 mL)
- 1 cup heavy cream (240 mL)
- 1/2 cup whole milk (120 mL)
- 1 pinch salt
Directions
- Add the orange juice, orange zest, and sugar to a small saucepan.
- Heat over medium-low heat for 4–5 minutes, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture reduces slightly. Let cool completely.
- Stir the vanilla extract and salt into the cooled orange mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream and whole milk.
- Pour the orange mixture and cream mixture alternately into 8 popsicle molds to create orange-and-cream layers.
- Gently swirl each mold once or twice with a skewer, keeping the orange and cream visibly distinct.
- Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until completely firm.
- Briefly run the outside of the molds under warm water, gently remove the creamsicles, and serve immediately.
