Meatloaf
Tender homemade meatloaf topped with a classic sweet and tangy ketchup glaze, baked until juicy and perfectly caramelized.

Ingredients
- 2 lb (900 g) ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup (60 g) panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) milk
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
Glaze
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and brush the glaze generously over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 20–25 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
